Pullman School District strives to ensure learning while challenging and supporting each student to achieve their full potential. The Highly Capable Program focuses on meeting this mission by supporting students within the Highly Capable Program through accelerated learning and enhanced instruction tailored to the unique needs of our gifted and talented students.
Highly Capable services are available in the Pullman School District for grades K-12 in accordance to Chapter 392-170-010 of the Washington Administrative Code. A teacher, parent/guardian, student, or any person who has knowlege of the student’s abilities may initiate a referral for highly capable services.
Referral forms for current kindergarten students or eligible transfer students to receive services during the current school year will be accepted the week before Fall elementary conferences in October. Referral forms for current K-11 students to receive services during the following school year will be accepted the week before Spring elementary conferences in March.
