The American Legion, Maynard-Price Post 52, of Pullman will be awarding a $1,500 scholarship to two Pullman High School 2025 graduating seniors. The scholarship can be used at any college or university. To be eligible for consideration, one must:
The money for this scholarship is given by Whitman County Genealogical Society in memory of Dorothy Sevier Matson (1920- 2002). She was a lifetime resident of Pullman who graduated from Pullman High School. She attended beautician school, worked in Pullman and during World War II joined the WAVES, serving in Washington, D.C. Upon returning to Pullman, she worked at WSU until retirement. Dorothy had a thirst for knowledge about the past and the people of this area and was interested in all things relating to Whitman County genealogy and history, with an emphasis on Pullman.

Review of applicants is done by the PEF Scholarship Committee. The Scholarship will be presented at the annual PHS Awards Night to culminate the year. The PULLMAN EDUCATION FOUNDATION reserves the right to alter, amend, withdraw or terminate this scholarship offer at any time and reserves the right not to award this scholarship, all within the sole discretion of the PULLMAN EDUCATION FOUNDATION.

The Colfax Eagles Golden Grain #2317 is offering $1500 in scholarships this year to graduating high school seniors who are continuing their education at a two- or four-year college, university, trade, or technical school.

The Ron Brown Scholarship honors the legacy of Ronald H. Brown through a selective scholarship program that advances higher education for community-minded and intellectually gifted African Americans.
RBSP competitively awards 20 four-year $40,000 scholarships ($10,000 each year) to the most talented and economically-challenged high school seniors who demonstrate a keen interest in public service, community engagement, business entrepreneurship and global citizenship – the four pillars of the late Ronald H. Brown’s mission to uplift people of all races, cultures and ethnicities – especially our disadvantaged youth.
Recipients may use the renewable scholarships to attend an accredited four-year college or university of their choice within the United States. Ron Brown scholarships are not limited to any specific field or career objective and may be used to pursue any academic discipline. Since the Program’s inception in 1996, 683 students have been designated as Ron Brown Scholars.
Applicants for the Ron Brown Scholarship MUST be Black/African American, US citizens or permanent residents, and a current high school senior at the time of their application.
As an HSF Scholar, you will have access to HSF’s invaluable Scholar Support Services and be eligible to receive a scholarship, depending on available funds.

QuestBridge connects academically outstanding students from low-income backgrounds to the nation's best colleges. Referrals help us reach students who may not know that a top college can be affordable — and even free — for students from low-income backgrounds.
The College Prep Scholars Program for high school juniors opens in early February and the application is due in late March. The National College Match for high school seniors opens in late summer and the application is due in late September.

The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship, providing recipients with the opportunity to achieve their goals and graduate college debt-free. The scholarship provides $2,000 to help pay for essential items to attend college and up to $7,500 each semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters. Free workshops, Free Schwab Brokerage Accounts, and Free Study Abroad provide recipients with a practical understanding of important life skills not typically covered in the school curriculum. Hagan Scholars have attended 648 colleges and universities located in 49 states and the District of Columbia and have studied abroad in 58 countries.
The Hagan Graduate Scholarships are for Hagan Scholars who have graduated college while in the Hagan Scholarship Program and are good for up to four additional semesters in college, providing up to $7,500 each semester to attend graduate school or the first two years of a professional program.
The Hagan International Graduate Scholarships are similar to the Hagan Graduate Scholarships. International applicants must have graduated or will graduate from a foreign institution, and must have received an acceptance letter for enrollment for the upcoming fall semester as a first-time graduate student at a college or university located in the U.S.
The American Indian Endowed Scholarship (AIES) helps students with financial need who have close social and cultural ties to an American Indian community in Washington State. Students can use the scholarship at public colleges and many independent colleges in Washington. The program prioritizes upper-division and graduate-level students, but all applicants are considered.
Award amounts range from around $500 to $2,000. Ten to 15 students are selected each year to receive the awards. Students may get AIES funding for up to five years, but must reapply each year.
Many past recipients have careers in law, medicine, education, business, and resource management. All have returned, or plan to return, to their tribal communities to work on behalf of Indian peoples within the state.

Two of the scholarships are specifically for students who will major in Agricultural Education at WSU. May 1st: BIAW Education Program Scholarship - This scholarship is for Washington residents only. They have 70K to award this year with ONLY 14 applicants last year. If you are pursuing a construction-related occupation, please apply. Keep in mind construction consists of a wide variety including carpenters, designers, architects, plumbers, electricians, roofers, engineers, landscapers, etc.
May 1st: Schweiger Memorial Scholarship Fund 2024 - Please go to website for more information. Two opportunities for students pursuing careers in the construction industry through Apprenticeships and Trade schools. One apprenticeship scholarship and one undergraduate scholarship.
May 10th: Colfax Eagles Golden Grain #2317 Scholarship Colfax Eagles Scholarship Application- $1500 Award. Open to all graduating seniors located in Whitman County who are continuing their education at a two or four year college, trade, or technical school. Applications must be received no later than May 10th, 2025 either by mail or email to the addresses listed on the application

May 19th: McPartland Law Offices Scholarship Program - 5 scholarships of $500.00 will be awarded for deserving seniors in eastern Washington. Applicant must write a short essay between 350-500 words.

May 31st: Sigma Phi Epsilon's Balanced Man Scholarship - a scholarship opportunity for incoming male freshman to Washington State University. No applicant is required to join Sigma Phi Epsilon, or participate in any IFC recruiting events. Winners can receive up to $4,000.
